Launched in January 2024, the Games Global University (GGU) platform stands as the cornerstone of Games Global's commitment to continuous employee development and excellent studio onboarding.

In partnership with our Centre of Excellence team, our very own Head of Talent Charlotte Davies played a pivotal role in bringing this invaluable initiative to life. A few months since its inception, she provides insights into this innovative learning platform and its transformative impact on our team and business. Join us as we explore how GGU is shaping the future of Games Global.

Q: Charlotte, could you give us an overview of Games Global University (GGU) and its benefits for employees?

A: Games Global University, or GGU, is our innovative learning platform designed to empower employees to improve their skill set and excel in their iGaming careers.

It offers on-demand learning experiences that are engaging, up-to-date, and readily accessible. GGU serves as a hub for a variety of training and development resources, providing our people with the tools they need to bridge skills gaps, foster innovation, and drive professional growth. It brings together training and development from external platforms such as LinkedIn Learning and Udemy for business, as well as providing a home for our industry-leading external trainers to deliver their content globally.

It also plays a crucial role in onboarding new employees by providing access to global induction materials, helping them integrate smoothly into Games Global from the start.

Putting the power into the hands of our Globalites, GGU ensures they always have access to top-notch learning experiences when they need them.

Q: How does this benefit extend to Games Global as an iGaming supplier?

A: While first and foremost it’s about supporting our team members’ career success, this in turn bolsters our own development. From exposing employees to the newest technologies to leadership development, GGU ensures those driving our business are best equipped to help us do better.

Beyond meeting the needs of our own employees, the platform is also designed to streamline the onboarding of new studio teams joining our network, For those that have never worked within our ecosystem, GGU helps them onboard quickly and get to grips with all things Games Global. This ultimately ensures fantastic games are created fast.

It’s an in investment in the future of our Globalites, our global studios, and our business.

Q: What specific initiatives are being developed on GGU?

A: We're excited about the various academies we're building within GGU, covering areas such as Wellbeing, Recruitment (including unconscious bias training), Neurodiversity, Mentoring, and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. These initiatives are designed to address specific development needs and support our employees' professional and personal growth.

Q: Can you share any successes or milestones achieved since the launch of GGU?

A: Since its launch, GGU has seen significant engagement from our team, with 720 active learners clocking up over 3,000 hours of training. We've also created 138 courses in just three months, demonstrating the platform's value and the enthusiasm of our employees for learning and development opportunities.

Q: What’s next for GGU?

A: As GGU continues to evolve, we're excited about the positive impact it will have on our team's growth and development journey. This is just the start!
